Nobles, Ladies and Friends of Bektash Shrine,
September has come and gone. Where has this year and most importantly this summer gone?
It’s been another busy month and I am so pleased with all the continued support from all of you!! This was most evident at the Northeast Field Days in Bangor. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Ill. Bill Hebert for hosting the hospitality room, everyone felt welcomed and included.
Lady Kat and I attended the Unity Picnic at Wellington State Park and had a great time connecting with 230 members from the other NH Masonic bodies. A great day at a beautiful location with food and fellowship that was simply wonderful!! Thanks goes out to Paul for getting us the pasta and fruit salad as Bektash was in charge of salads.
There was the Stated Meeting on September 19. There were three important topics that this meeting was focused upon. Finances, Mem- bership and Participation.
October 1st is Nashua Shrine Clubs Annual Oktoberfest at Bektash. It’s bound to be a great time filled with games, music, food and fellowship. Please be sure to RSVP with the office ASAP.
Speaking of fellowship, the final Fellowship Night of the year is October 7th at 6pm at Bektash. These have been extremely successful and I can’t thank membership and the stewards enough for putting this event on.
On the weekend of October 28-30th Bektash is hosting the Tri Visitation at the Sheraton. All the details are in and pricing are later in this months Bektash News. We look forward to seeing you there! It came up at NSA in talking with other temples how excited they were to come and enjoy the weekend – let’s have a great turnout for our shrine and welcome the visiting temples!
A website committee had been formed earlier this year and we are approaching the completion of a new Bektash website early this month! Once completed you can view and purchase tickets for events, sign up new members plus keep up with the Bektash news, among other exciting new improvements.
From the bottom of mine and Lady Kat’s hearts we thank you all for your continued guidance and support as we wind down our term as Potentate and First Lady.
Let us never forget that without everyone’s participation Bektash cannot continue. There are great strides being made at our facility, within our Temple and within our fraternity. Working together we can continue the valuable work we do for the greatest philanthropy in the world, Shriners Hospitals and clinics for Children!
