GREETINGS FOM THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER!!
Hope this finds everyone well and looking forward to whenever the warm weather finally comes. The teases from Mother Nature, while welcomed, would be much better if they could hang around for more than a day or two!!
While we await a more consistent weather pattern, I have chosen to make this report focused on a most important function that we all have been anxiously waiting for some time here at Bektash.
Treasurer Walters and I are pleased to report that the final Audit document has been drafted by our accountant, reviewed and approved by your Divan.
This was quite a process. I would like to remind everyone that this did take more time than anticipated as there was some documentation that we needed to prepare to bring us into compliance along with compiling a plethora of information for the accountants review.
Couple this with also determining during the process that documentation that Tampa required had been updated and this information had not been passed along caused further delay.
Despite these complications, the overall findings were most complimentary and are a testament to the jobs that have been being done in the past by your Divan and will continue well into the future. Well established accounting policies and procedures have been being followed and I am quite confident that this will continue well into the future.
The largest and only significant recommendation, which we undertook prior to the final report being completed, was the upgrading to the most recent and online version of Quickbooks.
The reports being compiled and presented by Treasurer Walters are excellent. Your Divan is now watching your funds in a way we dreamed about several years ago. Budget reports contain information which, moving forward, will be easy for all to read and understand. Ongoing preparation of budgets in the future have been made much easier and you will see the results of this work at our next Stated Meeting in June. Please come and see and support the important work that has been done.
Moving on to other topics, in an effort to increase revenue, Lucky 7 electronic gaming machines have been installed for people to participate in during Bingo and other non-formal events here at Bektash. They were a big hit at the recent Fun and Fellowship night. And our Bingo players are also having more fun!!
One more thought on Bingo. Please consider coming in and helping. Our patron numbers continue to be strong and the additional revenue from the machines will only help us do the work we do!! And please don’t forget that each week the Chefs have special offerings which are delicious!!
Previously I mentioned the Fun and Fellowship night!! Well Ladies and Nobles, as a result of these efforts we have a total of 3 new Shriners and a Masonic petition. Come join us at the next night and reconnect with old friends and make new ones!!

Sunday June 8th is the kickoff of the Bektash Chef’s Sunday Breakfast!! Knowing our guys it’s going to be great!! 7:30A to 11A. Ande hopefully continuing every second Sunday of the month!!
A summer Ceremonial is also in the works. Please put August 9th on your calendar!! Again, more information will be forthcoming.
Some NSA information came through today and will be disseminated quickly. While there are still some unanswered questions, I am sure within the next few days we will have the necessary information. Stay tuned!!
Finally, as many of you know, I have returned to the SNHU Arena to assist in an unforeseen circumstance which occurred in mid-March.
The individual that replaced me unexpectedly and abruptly left. Those of you that know me know that I could not stand by and not help when I was asked.
I wish to thank the Divan for their support during this time. They were made aware of this the moment it occurred and have supported me throughout this time. I wish to assure all of you that at no time have there been any lapses in service to Bektash. Everything remains current and on time with respect to the duties I am so proud to do for all of you.
