Recorder’s Corner September 2025

Aug 31, 2025 | Recorder

Greetings ALL from the Office of the Recorder!!

Hard to believe but summer is almost over!! The kids going back to school and the rest of us starting to think about the chores of the fall. Closing gardens, foliage trips and then raking those beautiful leaves. All that fall in NH is known for.

For those of you that missed the summer picnic hosted by PP Brent Norris and Lady Tracey, you missed a GREAT TIME!! Great food!! Swimming!! Golfing!! Just plain old hanging out!! And the crowd pleaser of the day…. Blind folded couples pie eating!! You had to be there to adequately understand!! You all should be proud of your Divan that were in attendance!!

Hopefully, everyone has heard about the great time that was had by the attendees and more importantly the candidates, now NEW NOBLES of BEKTASH!! Andrew Peiffer, Mark Thamm, John Sterritt and Derek Pomerleau, WELCOME!!

The cast did a great job for not having done a First Section in a long time!!!! And the Second Section, well, a great time was had by all!! It was a lot of fun for everyone involved!! Director Lothrup, Asst. Director Tuttle, Jr. and cohorts put some thought into the entire day and it was greatly appreciated by all!!

Last Friday night as I write this (August 15th ) Bektash had another Fun and Fellowship night put on by HP & P Peter Raven and Lady Stacey. WHAT A MEAL!! Bar-b-que that was, well, simply put, superb!! Plenty of games, conversations and good times were had by all in attendance. Thanks to Peter and Stacey for another successful evening!!

To more recent news, here at Bektash we find ourselves preparing for and getting some building work accomplished.

The Partition realignment project was postponed due to some logistical issues with the provider but is back on track!! Hopefully completed by the time we have our Stated Meeting on September 15th.

We are still looking to get the siding project online and done prior to foul weather.

In the office, we are transitioning the server to the cloud and doing some security upgrades to our IT systems. Long overdue and will better secure our past and future records.

Looking forward, we have the Rides for Rides Motorcycle ride on September 13th. Funds from this event go to our Transportation Fund so please, if you love to ride and look to have fun post ride, see the information on this event in this issue.

STATED MEETING, MONDAY SEPTEMBER 15th !! As usual a light meal at 6PM followed by the meeting at 7PM. This is a tiled meeting so dues cards are a must and don’t forget your fez!! We will be discussing several important issues and your Divan needs and wants your input. Please plan to attend.

Another Fun and Fellowship date of September 19th hosted by Assistant Rabban Brett Hunt and Lady Emily!! Come join the fun!!

It’s also time to sign up your foursome for the 5th Annual Lady Amy Freeman Golf Tournament on Monday September 22nd . Let’s fill this event Nobles!! PP Brent Norris and crew are looking forward to selling out this year so get your reservations in as soon as possible!!

Rounding out the month are the Fall Field Days in P E I!! Looking forward to seeing our Northeast Counterparts in what I am told is a beautiful location.

And looking even more forward, time to get your reservations in for the Tri Visitation in North Conway!! October 24 thru the 26th at the North Conway Grand Hotel!! Information is contained in this issue!! Don’t miss out on this great event!!

As you can see, a lot is going on Nobles!! Come be a part of YOUR Shrine!!

Fraternally,
