The summer weather has finally arrived, in between bouts of some much needed rain! And things are heating up here at Bektash too!!
First and foremost, THANK YOU to those Unit Heads that have sent in parade and appearance correspondence. As I wrote in the last issue, this is of the utmost importance in ensuring that all of you are covered should something unfortunate happen. Again, THANK YOU!!
On the horizon we have several events planned where it would be great to see everyone here at the Shrine.
Our next Fun and Fellowship event will be held on Friday June 12 th featuring KAROKE AND Filipino food!! I personally missed last year’s event and am going to make sure I don’t miss this one. From all of you that attended have reported, a great time was had by all!! Looking forward to a great turn out and reconnecting with many Shrine friends and guests!!
It is hoped that the first Sunday Brunch Bingo will occur on Sunday June 14th !! While the license has been approved, we still have a few logistical hurdles, but for the most part, they are minor. Please consider coming out and supporting the cause or helping out!! It should be a lot of fun!!
Our next Stated Meeting will occur on Monday June 15 th . Please plan on attending as we will be welcoming 5 new Shriners and reinstating a former Shriner to our rolls! Let’s make sure we show these new and former Nobles what Bektash Shrine Hospitality is all about!!
Director Michael Lothrop is putting together the final arrangements for the Summer Ceremonial on June 20th . Further information is in this edition.
On the building side Nobles, your divan has spent a lot of time and effort in making meaningful building improvements. Please, when you have the opportunity, take a look around and see the upgrades. These upgrades have made a positive impact. And remember, every time we do something here it only enhances the investment we have.
Looking ahead to July, please keep in mind Fun and Fellowship Friday the 10th of July on your calendar.
A good portion of the Divan will be away at Imperial Session from the 11th thru the 16th.
And the fun-filled summer picnic is scheduled for the 25th .
Finally, a couple of changes that are of note.
The Lady Amy Golf Tournament on Monday September 21st, Labor Day Holiday and Election will require us to move the dates of the September Finance and Stated meetings. Please pay attention to the forthcoming editions and announcements to when these important meetings will occur.
