Nobles, Illustrious Sirs, Ladies and Friends of Bektash
I want to start with a big Thank You to all who attended the Installation of officers last month. It was an incredible day and awe inspiring to see how the nobles and ladies of Bektash can rally together and support each other. This kind of teamwork is what Bektash does best. Thank You to Lady Mili, Lady Emilie, and Lady Dixie, for helping with getting the hall ready. The hall looked great. I also want to thank all the Divan officers and their ladies who came back on Sunday morning to breakdown and cleanup and getting the hall ready for Thursday Bingo.
I want to thank Ed “Butch” Kelvington and the Mini Kar guys for coming to the installation and for your support of one of your own. I look forward to parading with you this year.
I would also like to thank the Most Worshipful Grant Master, of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the State of NH, David S Collins, and his entire suite of officers for their support and offering escort to our Divan again.
Lady Mili and I hope to see you all at the Potentates Valentines Ball on February 11th. This event is chaired by our High Priest and Prophet Kenny Thoroughgood and his Lady Dixie and is guaranteed to be a classy and elegant night out with your special Valentine. Part of the fun of the evening will include the infamous pie auction as hosted by our own Ill. Mark Simard, P.P. as auctioneer. So be prepared for lots of fun and bring some cash. Just before we kick off the evening, we will have a brief ceremonial and fezzing for some new Bektash Nobles. So please come in a bit early and help welcome them to the Bektash family.
The Divan is excited for the year ahead and look forward to working hard for all of you. This is going to be a busy and rewarding year for us. We will have several events on the calendar to please everyone. We plan to make this a year to have fun and enjoy the family atmosphere. Whether it be a cigar and scotch night, or a Polynesian hula night, I encourage everyone to come on in an join in with your Bektash family of Nobles and their Ladies.
We have our NSA Mid-Winter meeting approaching in March. This is not a Divan only event. This is open for any Noble of Bektash. This is a great opportunity to meet your brother nobles from the Temples throughout the Northeast. We will have dignitaries from Imperial as well as guest speakers from membership and the hospitals. So please come join me in welcoming the Temples of the Northeast to Bektash.
You have the full support of me and the entire Divan. We all are committed to the growth of Bektash and offer our support for who makes Bektash what we are, the Nobles and Ladies of the Bektash family.
