Nobles, Illustrious Sirs, Ladies and Friends of Bektash
November and the fall temps are finally upon us.
I would like to thank the Nashua Shrine Club for putting on their annual Oktoberfest. The food was great as always and it was a great evening for those that attended.
The weekend of October 20th, Mili and I attended the ABK Tri- Visitation with Anah and Kora Temples as hosted by Kora Shrine this year in Poland Maine at the historic Poland Springs Resort. It was amazing to see and learn of the rich history of the resort as well as the beginning of the springs with the Ricker family.
Many of us also were lucky enough to attend the Kora Temple tour and lunch on Saturday afternoon. What an amazing Temple to see. The priceless murals that adorn the walls and the chandeliers made by Tiffany and Company are truly a sight to see. What a beautiful temple. If you have not seen this temple, do yourselves a favor and arrange to make the trip one day.
Along with us, Representing Bektash was our Assistant Rabban, Evan Mcintosh and his lady Amanda; High Priest and Prophet, Kenny Thouroughgood and his lady Dixie; Oriental Guide, Brett Hunter and his lady Emilie; Treasurer, Ill. Bill Hebert, P.P. and his lady Sharon; 1st Ceremonial Master Peter Raven and his lady Stacey; 2nd Ceremonial Master Kevin Ciampa and his lady Angela; Noble Greg Kalicin and his lady Debbie; and Noble Mike Lothrop. Thank you all for coming along and representing Bektash for the weekend.
Our Feztival of Trees is right around the corner and quickly approaching. The committee has been working hard for a few months now and the trees are coming in at a good clip. If you would like to be a part of this and come on in to volunteer for some time during the Feztival, there is a signup genius going around, or you can contact Susan Fillingham to make arrangements.
The Feztival this year is November 18-26. To kick it off, we are registered to march in the Concord Holiday Parade on Saturday November 18th. This parade is open for all Nobles who want to march as well as any of our other units that want to participate. Please contact the office to let us know you will participate.
Bingo is in need of some new volunteers to come in and call the games. No reason to be shy or afraid. Training will be provided and plenty of support given. If you have never been, it is a fun crowd of players each week and an even better group of Bektash family sitting there as a support group and team. Come on in, see how it works, and speak to the Bingo chairman, Ill. Lloyd P.P. He will certainly make you feel welcome.
