The month of October was filled with a lot of activities for the Temple.
The outdoor adventure krew (OAK) went to the adult corn maze here in Concord. We had an awesome time, the Bektash “witches” headed by Lady Dixie was in full attendance.
Autumn Harvest Fellowship was a successful one, with plenty of delicious food, pies were overflowing, thanks to all those people who brought food to share. As always, good company, loud laughs and a lot of stories told.
Lady Dixie & I had the privilege to attend the Boston Haunted Walk in Wellesley, MA. A total of 7 Bektash nobles and their ladies and Cooper were in attendance, most of us came as Minions. It was a short walk, and we really had so much fun.
Anah-Bektash-Kora (ABK) visitation weekend was a blast. Bektash was represented by 9 Nobles and their ladies, quite a good showing. Friday night was a very relaxed red & black Italian night and a visit to the beautiful Kora Temple. Saturday breakfast was followed by presentations of visiting temples. We had a total of 10 Potentates out of 16 temples, not bad at all. After breakfast, Lady Dixie and I went to the Casino for 30 mins and were not lucky at all. We headed back to the hotel and met with some Potentates for lunch, a lot of catching up to do. Saturday night was “the Midnight at the Masquerade Ball Murder Mystery Dinner”. We had the honor of sitting with the handsome “Enrique Estrada” who was one of the suspects. A lot of investigations, interviews and conclusions were carried out but still we could not point out who the correct murderer was. Sunday, we had breakfast together and headed home. It was a bittersweet ending to the wonderful weekend, knowing that was the last time this year that our counterparts will see each other.
As for our Temple, it’s the time of the year, our biggest fundraising event is just around the corner. Fez-tival of Trees will be on Nov. 21-29, 2026. We need help! Please, if you could just give 4 hours for a day, that would be such a huge help to us. Please get in touch with brett363@gmail.com OR ehunter923@gmail.com and let them know of your schedule.
Next is our Blue Frost & Black-Tie Holiday Celebration on Dec 12th.
And last but not the least, our last Stated Meeting on Dec. 14th.
To the nobility, we missed you…come back and have fun!
Wishing everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your family.
Don’t forget, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, helping kids and the hospital while having fun and enjoying it too.
Lady Dixie and I appreciate you all.
Fraternally,
Ken Thoroughgood
