August 14th was the Fun & Fellowship themed BBQ Western was a success. A lot of people came in their cowboy boots and hats. There was a lot of food, good conversations and loud laughs were made. Thanks to our high Priest & Prophet Jim Geas & his Lady Pauline for hosting. Thank you to all who donated food, you know who you are.
On August 16th the O.A.K. went to Merrimack River for the planned Kayaking/Canoeing. A total of 8 miles in 5 hours. We stopped halfway through and cooked some hotdogs in an old Coleman stove that I brought. 11 people were in attendance. You should have seen Ill. PP Jack Murray, Sr, rowing their canoe, he was ahead of everybody, and we couldn’t keep up with him, how to be him?! We had an awesome time, even Dixie, who never liked doing this, had a great time, but she didn’t help me to paddle/row. Thank you, Joe, for planning this trip, can’t wait for the next one.
Northeast Shriners Association (NSA) Fall Field Days in Hyannis, MA, hosted by Aleppo Shriners was a huge success. 4 Imperial officers were in attendance. As for Bektash, 13 Nobles and their ladies and Ms. Mackenzie were in attendance. I am so proud that we had 5 Illustrious Past Potentates who came, attended and supported us, Lady Dixie & I are humbled. A total of 25 people. Thanks to our OG Rich Cloutier & his Lady Wanda for chairing this event. The Margaritaville resort we stayed at had an indoor water park which was enjoyed by some of us who attended, too bad Lady Dixie & I could not. First time Lady Dixie & I watched the Clown competition and we had fun. Parade was great, yours truly rode the Mini Kar and 4 people drove the monster truck, and some Nobles walked. We had a blast. 2027 NSA will be hosted by Anah Shriners in Bangor, Maine
Sunday Brunch bingo will be on September 13th. Spread the word and hope to see you all, breakfast at 7:00 – 10:30 am and Bingo opens at 9 am and starts at 10:30 am.
O.A.K. is scheduled to do an e-bike demo day on Sept 13th on the Northern Rail Trail. For more details attend the meeting on Sep. 3rd at 6:30pm
Fun & Fellowship for September 18th is “Cheeseburger in Paradise” celebrating the National Cheeseburger Dya which will be hosted by our OG Rich Cloutier and his Lady Wanda. Wear your best Parrot Head/Hawaiian outfit. Don’t forget to bring a Mason. CALL THE OFFICE to reserve.
Stated Meeting is coming up on September 14th. As a Noble, please make it a point to attend and know what is going on in your Temple.
Don’t forget, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, helping kids and the hospital while having fun and enjoying it too.
