Greetings All!!
September has been a busy month here at Bektash and here are the highlights!!
After a very successful Ceremonial we had the pleasure of inducting two more Nobles at the September Stated Meeting. Dennis Tuttle, Sr. and Daniel Miller joined our ranks and were fezzed along with several of the newly initiated during the Ceremonial. Welcome Nobles!!
On the topic of the Stated Meeting, we had a good showing with a total of 30 plus the Divan. Business conducted included updates on several building projects and the appropriate funding for these projects moving forward. The facia of the building will move forward and hopefully be starting soon.
Lighting, particularly on the east and west sides of the building, along with the main entry will be reviewed and most likely upgraded. We still have some dark areas and need to ensure that we do our best to keep the areas lit and safe.
The new Bektash Shrine sign should be in place by the second week of October. This will be a nice upgrade to the property for sure.
Initial dues notices have gone out via e-mails. The mailed notices should be arriving any day now. Please nobles, remit as soon as possible. And should there be circumstances with anyone, know that we are a phone call away and can help!! Call the office for assistance.
As you should already know, new dues cards will be coming this year!! If you have already paid, you may see them very soon as during the latest Web Fez training session they noted that a batch had already been processed and were
due for mailing very soon!! They explained that they will be coming out in “batches” to save mailing costs so please, if you don’t see them immediately do not fret. They will be coming. I will stay on top of this and update as we progress in the process.
Nobles, we have several of you on the precipice of being suspended for non-payment of dues. We will be calling you shortly and reminding those in this situation of this and, as noted earlier, helping if the need be.
One other very important note!! It’s that time of year that Clubs and Unit should be meeting and electing their slate of officers for the coming year. Please, Unit and Club heads, get this information to the office as soon as possible as we are under Nov. 1 deadline to get these updates to Headquarters. Thanks everyone for your cooperation with this!! And we look forward to seeing you at the December Stated Meeting for your formal installation!!
Feztival of Trees meetings are well under way for this year’s event. Chairman, AR Hunter has things well at hand with the committee, but we still need YOUR HELP!! Upcoming meetings are noted in this issue.
Please don’t forget the Sunday Morning Breakfast with the upcoming dates also in this issue!! Chef’s have been doing a great job and it’s yet another way to connect with your fellow Nobles!!
Several of us are leaving in the coming days for the NSA in Prince Edward Island!! Looking forward to a great program and trip and will give a full report next month!!
